"Where I'm Calling From". Solo Exhibition. Zurich 2025

Solo

Immersive installation composed of paper, pen and ink drawings and felt découpage exploring the artists reflections in the water as she swam a race across the Hellespont Strait between Europe and Asia. The work was made in the course of a 10 day lock-In at the gallery, as an Oulipo-inspired experiment of giving herself an artificial constraint of time and materiality.

The project was accompanied by a workshop and public talk which was part of Zurich Art Week. The exhibition marked a new start in Daudy’s work. Not just writing her own poetry but putting it on the walls of a gallery, and the making of cognitive maps which feature her personal diary. The exhibition featured ancient myths and fairytales, and taking joy in her love of the natural world and scientific progress.

She worked with Tatiana Latyshevskaia of ETH University Zurich, and her long-time collaborator the physicist Kostya Novoselov to include new research into nano-experiments with water.
