(small but interesting aspect of Map for Wonderchaos at YSP)

During Coronavirus Kostya was in Singapore with his family. He was the only person allowed out of their apartment. On these empty-if-people he would walk through the deserted city to The National University of Singapore where he had built his Institute for Functional Intelligent Materials. Alone but for the odd monkey and a tea lady who would come in occasionally to be sure that he would be able to have a cup of tea, his mind went into creative overdrive.

Thus the border of our map at the YSP for Wonderchaos: The Certainty of Chance, became photo collages of the stickers used in many parts of the world during Coronavirus. The stickers were then being issued by health authorities in many countries, to individuals stating their temperature upon entering indoor spaces.

This border of little stickers was set inside a frame of the day of then Director of YSP Clare Lilley's commissioning of the show at 11.11am precisely.
